UPDATE: 9/12/17 Pete is no longer afraid of people. He has become more confident in himself and loves to play with his people. He has lost both of his eyes(we had them removed because he was blind and his eyes were causing him pain, somewhat common with the Rat Terrier breed) but gets along really well. He loves to play ball. Now we do it with a ball that squeeks so I can bounce it acrossed the floor and he goes after it. We have a fenced yard and he comes and goes outside without difficulty. He loves to have fun and hang out. You just have to spend a few minutes with him to realize he is a special little boy. (new pics coming soon!)

UPDATE: Petey Pete is going to need  a very special human to love him into being a regular dog. Not sure what happened to him in his past but he is very shy. I wish that you all could see the Petey that I see when no one else is around. He's playful, gets excited and bounces up and down at my feet wanting me to give him a little rub. He will put his paws on the back of one of the other dogs if it means he gets closer to me. He is definitely a sweet boy who just needs help becoming a confident little man.

Update: Well I was looking for my Valentine today but no one came for me. I had a nice lady hold me for a couple of hours just to get me out of being nervous and I started to love it. I relaxed and started to nuzzle her neck and I even was looking all around. I would love to have my own human to love on me all day until I get out of being nervous. If you are looking for someone to share your lap or bed with please give me a chance to make that happen for both of us.

Hey there, hi there, ho there! People have been wondering for years whether Disney’s Pete is a bear, cat, or dog. I’m here to tell you that this Pete is a very sweet little boy! My name seems to suit me well. My foster momma thinks I look a lot like the cartoon Pete. I know to go outside to do my business. I’m also really easy going and I like playing with friends. All I need is someone to love me and show me how to be a unconditionally loved. Is that person you? Are you ready to give me a forever home?

My adoption fee is $200
