Meet Karl!

Karl is a 4 yr old Shih Tzu. He is scheduled to be neutered and weighs 10 pounds.

Karl spent his short life in a puppy mill until he was rescued and went into foster care. Now he is learning how to be a dog. He has come a long way in a few short weeks! He loves to be outdoors and play with other dogs. He has discovered toys and often carries them all around the house. He loves snuggling and sleeping with the other dogs in his foster home. He is progressing with his house training. He goes potty outside, but still has a few accidents if he is not being supervised. He is a smart boy and is figuring it out. He even knows his name (He had no name until his foster Mom named him)

Karl needs a special someone in his life whose love and patience will help him live the life he deserves to have! That special someone will have a fenced yard so Karl can safely run and play. They will have another dog to be his friend and teach him more about being a pet dog. But most importantly, his forever family will understand that he is still shy and scared of people sometimes….after all, he knows all about people not being kind to him! He would do best in a home without small children…their quick movements scare him.

This little man has so much potential to be a great pet. He just needs help trusting people.
